Google Hackathon (Singapore) ...

I found this in one of the MMU website and it might be useful for those who were interested since its not a University Program ...

Google Hackathon (Singapore) on 28 October 2008

Please find the below matters for your reference.

Learn from The Experts: 5 Google engineers from their US (Mountain View) headquarters will be travelling to Singapore to introduce the various APIs and their implementations. Depending on the experience of the audience with the APIs, the Google engineers could spend more time conducting tutorials and demos for newbies or coach experienced developers in best practices. Come ready to learn or share. For more info on programs at similar Google events, click here. Knowledge of these APIs is not required though useful; knowledge of related languages such as JS (OpenSocial), Python (App Engine) is preferred.
50% OFF your Travel Expenses: Specially for Malaysian developers only, 50% of your travel expenses (transport and lodging) will be eligible for a 50% subsidy up to RM500 under a special sponsorship program*.
Exclusive Souvenirs: Limited-edition Google T-shirts and other free swag will be up for grabs, while stocks last.. Certificates of Attendance will be issued for university students who will find this to be useful for their resumes.
Free Food, by Google: Just like Google engineers who get free meals at work, you will not starve at this Google event too! Did we mention free food and beer, including ice cream? =)
